    Hi,
    I’m using the Avada theme.
I have updated the theme from 5.0 to 5.1.1 this morning.
When we update Avada, it removes folders into the themes/Avada folder, therefore our “plugins” folder with the customization of events manager is removed too.

I just had to make my php again for my event customization.

I think we should find another way to put those php files into than the theme folder. Unsure what would be the best way to do it… maybe a subfolder of the events manager plugin folder, that will not be deleted by a plugin update? This way everything is handled inside the events manager plugin, and we don’t rely on other plugin / template behaviour for that…

    Thanks

Im going to let the devs know about this however most themes only delete or overwrite their theme files.

Indeed but that is what Avada did.
When an update of Avada is done, it deletes and create the Avada folder again, therefore the content of the Avada folder is lost.
And as the plugin thing is in this folder…

As far as I know this is a “WordPress thing” and not something that can be avoided. The only workaround would be to download the updated theme file, unzip it and upload it manually via FTP.
