A) you really should upgrade, but that’s not the problem here.
B) What’s the directory structure look like? Presumably, you have each theme in its own folder. And you put that folder under /wp-content/themes, right?
So, do you have an extra layer of folders between /themes and the directory with the css?
For instance, if you don’t pay attention when unzipping some themes, you get /myTheme/myTheme/style.css which clearly has one too many levels of directory…
Bingo! The problem was an extra layer in the file directory. Thanks so much for your help!!
hi there.
i´ve got the same problem, but it looks like a diverent reason.
i tried to witch to the “sosuechtig 2.6”-theme (http://www.sosuechtig.de/2006/04/03/sosuechtig-26-wordpress-theme-beta-release/)
unexpected for me, there have been the whole folders “wp-includes” and “wp-config”. (instead of “mytheme” or something)
first i copied all just to the worpdpress-folder. failed.
after that i chose the /theme folder and copied to wordpress/themes/
failed.
i always got the “stylesheet missing”error.
i´ve checked the /theme/theme error, but that isnt the reason.
could somebody help me?
WP 2.0.4
