• Hi All,

I am so not techy that I paid someone to install a theme yesterday and the theme didn’t work (Sterling) so I bought a new one (Thesis) which the gal installed today.

Then she said: “I went in and deleted the sterling theme, and the pages were still there even after I deleted them, so then had to go delete menus as well, but I think I finally got all that sterling theme stuff off the site.”

But I can’t edit my site. I have no idea what to do. I go into the dashboard and click edit homepage and it tells me that it’s in the trash and has to be restored but she is telling me that it was the old sterling stuff. I am so confused. Should those pages have stayed? How can I fix this? I’m trying to be patient and wait for an email back from the gal but would like to just get the new theme installed correctly.

It’s a brand new site without any content so I really don’t mind reinstalling stuff but I don’t want to make things worse and have no clue where to begin to clean out old stuff and put in new stuff. The word Thesis is in the navigation on the left but there is no homepage to edit, just a sample page I think.

My site is http://8020social.com but it really doesn’t matter because although it has a home page, I can’t edit it even though it exists somewhere in the trash I guess.

    Thanks,
    Susan
