• I was notified that someone tried to comment, but immediately got an error message that it wouldn’t be posted as it was considered to be spam?

    So then I tried to comment as a test – and absolutely nothing happened! (I didn’t receive any notification about any comments).

    It was only after checking all my WordPress and Jetpack settings that I noticed a message on my plugins page that ‘2 comments had been blocked by antispam’ (I forgot I even had this plugin as I installed it over a year ago and just left it – but now I’m wondering if this is why I’ve never had any comments!)

    Can you help?

    Anti-Spam plugin is not compatible with Jatpack comment.
    This was mentioned in the FAQ section.

    Oh no! Thank you for pointing that out… Although now I have disabled Anti-Spam, people are still getting error messages that their messages are spam… So I’m thinking it maybe not the fault of the plugin, but another reason?

    Or do I need to uninstall the plugin for my Jetpack comments to work? Thanks.

    If you see “it is spam” message even if Anti-Spam plugin is uninstalled then it should be cause by something else. It is hard to tell but definitely not Anti-Spam plugin if it is uninstalled or at least inactive.
