Ok, so I’ve been banging my head why every time I click the ‘continue’ button after posting an ad, it will go back ‘Please select a Category for your Ad’ instead to the next screen which is to upload the images.

I found out that whenever this line is in the description, strange things happen.

For other inquiries please call: 813.1401 or 0922.854.5048 look for Leo.

    What’s with this line?

I deleted it in the description and I was able to post the ad. This is strange. By the way, to make it easy for people to just post their ads, I disabled the fields website field, price field, phone field, country field, and city field. I disabled captcha and akismet while I was testing this strange behavior.

  • Hi cloudduster,

That is very strange! With that line it happens every time?

If you use that same line in another ad that didn’t previous have it, do you get the weird error there too? (That text doesn’t look particularly suspicious, so I’m wondering what power it has over the plugin)

What version of AWPCP and WP is this with?

Have you tried a full conflict test (not just a couple of plugins): Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with AWPCP, which may help pinpoint the issue: http://awpcp.com/forum/faq/how-to-test-for-plugintheme-conflicts/

Report back and we’ll go from there!

Thanks for the reply. It is indeed strange, in fact, the plugin is also adding two <br/> in pages where I have a shortcode for ‘Allow PHP in Posts and Pages’ plugin. Unfortunately, this plugin is extremely significant to my entire site, so it’s impossible to disable it.

Anyway, this is a cool plugin but I just don’t have the time to fix any conflicts.

    Thanks 🙂

If you change your mind, we can revisit this anytime. Conflicts are a fact of life in a complex WP ecosystem and depending on what’s installed, anything can happen.
