    I tried many of comment systems before – some have been quite successful, other ones s*ck like an old Russian vacuum cleaner. Disqus was definitely the one to go except the fact that your readers’ comments stay in the cloud which gives Disqus an opportunity to monetize them via ad networks. Not good.

    wpDiscuz on the other hand keeps everything locally and is equally user friendly, clean and blazingly fast. The free version does the job but if you are heavily involved in gathering large users’ community around your blog, consider getting some of their (optional) premium extensions.

    Overall, I have been using wpDiscuz for over 2 years now and haven’t had a single glitch. Highly recommended.
