• I am testing a theme that’s under development with this plugin and see that NextGen does not include jquery as a dependency when loading at least some of its scripts (for example, for the slideshow). The theme loads jquery in the footer so the plugin does not work because it loads its scripts before jquery gets loaded.

There is also a PHP problem where the plugin appears to be erasing the output buffer, which results in destroying the buffered output of the theme, entirely breaking the page.

    Very disappointing…

    Hi @nelsonbase!

I’m very sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with our plugin alongside your theme. The basic gallery JS absolutely enqueues with jquery as a dependency. We have tested several themes locally and in each case the slideshow JS loads after jquery.js (and after it’s other dependencies, like jquery.cycle.js). If you’re seeing this behavior consistent across more than one theme, we’d like to take a closer look at your results if you wouldn’t mind sending us a bug report here: http://www.imagely.com/report-bug . Please include a URL back to this thread and mention that Becky & Benjamin referred you on this particular issue you’re seeing. 🙂

    Thanks!
    Becky
