This plugin does not seem to work

I am running Publishpress Authors 4.1.2 on Hueman Pro theme. Regardless of whether it is a user or a guest author, posts do not show any name. Screenshot below. I have no other author-related plugins installed, nor anything that hides metadata.

I have double checked my theme’s settings to ensure that author is being shown. The ‘By ‘ part is still present, but it is only the author’s name that is missing. Turning it off in my theme settings removes it altogether and shows only the date, as it should.
Furthermore, I noticed that turning off Publishpress Authors and then reactivating it shows the authors name, but changing anything about the authors on the post causes all author names to disappear. If you are able to take a look, there are two posts on my site: I have changed the author on one post to a guest author and the other has been untouched. The author name is missing from the one I changed, while the author name is visible on the one that is untouched.
