• This plugin is causing a HTML Error 500 whenever I activate it on my plugins page my website does not work anymore and I have to go into the files and rename this plugin and it fixes the problem. I would like to have this plugin included onto my website but I cannot with this error. I have WP 4.8 installed on my website. I have other plugins included on my website, I deactivated the ones that might be causing the problem with this plugin and tried enabling this plugin again but still no use.
    Please Help.

There are a lot of different ways a 500 could come up. I’d suggest you first delete the plugin and reinstall from a fresh copy in case there was some problem with the files. Also, there will be an error message somewhere that indicates what happened…you may want to ask your web host to take a look.

    What is your PHP version?

This is the error message that I get: The plugin participants-database/participants-database.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

OK, but that is not the error that is causing the 500…that is what you get when you rename the folder. What you need to do is perform a fresh install of the plugin, and if you get the 500 error again, that is when you need to look for the error message.

I just read another post to this forum titled: Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on null in …/query.php on line 28
And I do also have Events Manager Pro and think that is their plugin causing the problem not yours, I am going to try to contact them and see if they know whats causing the issue.

i confirm that Participants Database and Events Manager Pro are not compatible due to a payment gateway callback function error.
