This plugin vs. Standard way

I’d like to know how this plugin does anything different from what WP already has available. The way I currently change a permalink or url is found inside the post edit screen. Below the post title or product title there is a button you can hit to edit the permalink to whatever you like. So what does this plugin do that the standard WP install cannot? Thanks
