    Hi!

I am not able to access my blog from wordpress.com. The error message is “This site cannot be accessed.”

The page can be found under jfosdorf.de, but I am using a “Coming soon”-Plugin atm. But even if deactivate everything but jetpack it still won’t work.

I also tried the steps mentioned regarding xmlrpc, seems to be fine. Jetpack itself says everything seems to fine.

I found a thread from about a year ago, mentioning problems with the provider Strato, which unfortunately is mine as well… But it didn#T include any answer to the problem.

Is there still a general problem with Strato?

    Thank you in advance.

It seems that we can’t make any API queries to your site at the moment. Your site returns an error when we try to communicate with it from WordPress.com servers.

Could you contact your hosting provider, and ask them to take a look at your site’s logs to make sure the XML-RPC requests made to get information about your site aren’t blocked in any way?

Let me know how it goes.

    Having the same problem.

My other wordpress installs, with the same host, have connected just fine.

Ok, I got an answer from my hoster Strato.

They have got a feature called “ServerSide Security”. In its description it says that it protects you from email and guestbook spam. Once deactivated wordpress.com could access my site just fine.

Thank you very much for your help!

@mcoorlim If @sthahn’s tip doesn’t help, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?
