Hi, this is due to the <noscript> tag in the links. If no title is explicitly set, SLB uses the link’s text as the title. See here for more information on title precedence in SLB.
In this case, the <noscript> content is redundant, so I would recommend removing it from the links.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I’m using a plugin called kPicasa Gallery and it is fetching pictures from Picasa Web Albums. So I guess those <noscript> tags are generated automatically by this plugin.
Thanks for the additional information. I will look into refining the title text generation further. Usually, HTML is stripped from the link’s text so an image would not normally be displayed. However, the HTML is encoded by kPicasa so that it does not appear to be HTML (when it actually is).
You may want to contact kPicasa’s developer to see if this redundant <noscript> content can be removed.
The problem is, kPicasa hasn’t been updated in years and he’s not answering support requests. And I think Simple Lightbox was loading not only a thumbnail, but 2 full images, and this was making the load process very slow. So I had to switch to another Lightbox plugin. But thanks for your help anyway and good luck.
Glad you found a solution that works for you 🙂
