thumbnail grid not responsive

    Excuse me if I’ve missed something – but how do I make the thumbnail grid responsive to mobile devices?

    At the moment the grid has four thumbnails per row, which stay in place on iPhone, requiring scrolling. How can I make them collapse to, say, two which fit on a vertical iPhone screen?

    @aerta – The general responsiveness of the display layouts will change to fit most mobile device displays but the actual thumbnail image sizes will not be altered.

    Can you provide a link to what you are seeing?

    @aerta – Do you see this if you change to a default WordPress Twenty series theme like Twenty Twelve (one with a wider content area)?

    I don’t see anything at all on the site if I switch to Twenty Twelve theme, I’m afraid. Is there a switch I’m missing in the plugin’s settings which makes the thumbnail grid responsive?

    @aerta – The layout is responsive (there is no switch) but I am seeing it is not acting responsively on your site so I am thinking there may be a theme related issue here.

    Is there anything I can do?

    If I use the plugin with another theme in the future is the problem likely to recur?

    As you can see, the theme is responsive – but the thumbnail grid isn’t!

    @aerta – This generally does not happen so I cannot say if it will happen with another theme … you may just have to see for yourself.

    Is there nothing I can do? I’m sure it used to be responsive in an earlier version. Can I roll back to an earlier version?

    @aerta – The responsiveness of our layouts has not changed and they are responsive in other themes … if you want to try an earlier version of NextGEN Gallery you can find all published versions here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/nextgen-gallery/developers/

    FYI, Cais – I installed another theme for this site and the thumbnail grid still wasn’t responsive. So it doesn’t look like it’s a theme issue.

    @aerta – What settings are you using for the thumbnails display; and, which default WordPress Twenty series theme did you try?

    I wasn’t using default Twenty theme I was using Headway theme.

    Thumbnail options: 100 x 80
    set fix dimension: no
    size list: No default sizes present.
