    Hello,

when I use this plugin, it works just fine in the frontend. The image I wanted to replace gets replaced (after doing a hard refresh). However, in the backend in the media library I still see the old image instead of the new one, even if I do a hard refresh.

Why is this and can this be changed?

    Hi,
thanks for your message, I suspect there is a caching that needs to be flushed somewhere…Could you please try to add a “?something’ at the URL of the old image and let me know if a new one is displayed? If so then there is definitely a caching issue.

I look forward to hearing from you,
    Alex

    Hi!

Thank you for your reply! I tested it with the “?” at the end and just as you suspected, the new image shows up. I don’t have any caching plugins or anything like that installed. Do you have an idea what might be causing this caching issue?

Thanks for the follow-up, if you don’t have any caching plugins installed then it is likely that there is a caching at the server level that is causing this behavior.
Could you please try to contact your hosting provider about this issue, they should be able to assist you as it is most likely something they control.

    Thank you,
    Alex
