Thumbnail Issue

I love this service it does everything I would want it to and often times more. I am however having issues with the thumbnail. I have linked an image from my server as the category picture and now every time an RSS feed is posted it makes a thumbnail of the same picture and saves it to my server. How can I stop this from happening? I don’t need 1,000s of the same picture saved on my server.

Also is there a way for your service to parse out portions of an RSS feed? For example one feed I have the license to use has the words follow us @xxx and text about their email service. I would like to parse that out every time if possible.

I am sure both of these are easy fixes I just can’t seem to find the appropriate settings.
