Thumbnail Maps fail to display

    Hi Support,

    I’m having issues trying to get the ‘Thumbnails’ of 3 instances to display on my WordPress site. The selected overlay functionality is fine, it’s just the initial Thumbnail images NOT displaying.

    Originally I was not registered with an API, but I have recently completed this task and I now believe this to be active and correctly configured for my site for both “Google Static Maps API” and “Google Maps Embed API”, as when I select ‘Test API Key” I get an “API Key is OK” response.

    Hi Grant, thank you for using GMW!

    I can see all three thumbnails without any issues; tried from 2 browsers. They’re using your API key and everything looks in order.

    It’s most probably just your browser cache. Please try force refreshing, if it doesn’t work let us know.

    Hi WebFactory,

    My issue seems limited to Chrome browsers now. Latest versions. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get these Thumbnails to display on Chrome browsers on both PC’s and Macintosh platforms?

    Force resetting didn’t resolve the issue.

    I added the above response but forgot to change status from closed to open.
    I would still greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue upon Chrome browsers.

    Hi,
    Try opening the console (F12), on the network tab, check the “disable cache” option. Refresh the page. I can assure you that this is a local problem limited to your browser. Which is, well, good and bad at the same time 🙂

    Thumbnail does not show in Chrome, FF or IE. Followed all the above instructions. API passes as good. No success in display of map thumbnail.

    Hi, please double check that you have activated all the necessary APIs in Google Console. Especially the Static Image API.
