Yes, sometimes if you use Facebook links directly rather than importing them to WordPress, the links appear to change. If you click the “sync” link it should correct the problem.
Hi Mike
Sorry for the late reply.
This does not however seem to resolve the problem. When I press sync something flashes but nothing happens.
No worries. Are you using the latest version of the plugin (version 0.5) and have you created a Facebook App and hooked it up to the plugin under the “Import” tab. These things are required now since Facebook deprecated the older version of the API I was utilizing. If it’s not that, let me know. There are a few things in the plugin I have to optimize which are on my list to do.
Thanks,
Mike
Yes I have created such an app. I don’t know if this matters but in the developer ‘area’ of Facebook it says ‘Not available to all users because your app is not live’ (http://i.imgur.com/cY7dSOD.png). Does this have anything to do with it?
Secondly, when I enter my app id under “Import” I get two things.
1) Log in with facebook and show albums. However, when I press “Log in” it gives me this error: http://i.imgur.com/f8v3bPi.png
2) Find albums on a public page (which I believe is what I need to do). It gives me this error: http://i.imgur.com/rzQeRKU.png

Never mind, just found the fix 🙂 You have to make sure Web OAuth is enabled in your app and add the URL from where you’re logging in. You migth want to add this to your plugin description/installation 😉

I’m marking this as resolved
Yup! Sorry, instructions aren’t very clear (and has been an issue for others as well). The 0.5 release I made was done in a rush because Facebook was deprecating the old API, so I didn’t put as much time into it as I wanted to. I’m in the process of working on the new release that fixes a few issues others been having. I’ll work on the instructions as well to make them more clear. Thanks!
