Thumbnail Tool Tip Plugin?

I have been looking for a plugin that allows the tooltip of an external link to show the first thumbnail it finds on that link. I know of a Firefox plugin that does this but it seems it should be possible using ajax. Anyone know of something like this? I have Googled it every which way but to no avail.
