List all your plugins, because there’s something that you have that is messing with the URLs of thumbnails on the initial page load.
The whitespace issue could also be a symptom of this.

Now turn each your plugins off one-by-one and refresh the gallery page to see if the issue goes away. Report back with the plugin that was deactivated to get things going.
We suggest starting with the plugins that are directly referenced in the view source of the page: view-source:http://www.bellingham.org/press/video-gallery/
…if this doesn’t make sense, then don’t worry, just start deactivating plugins from A to Z until you see the gallery show up correctly.

Issue was not our plugin but rather the “Autolink URI” plugin, which is deprecated anyway: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/sem-autolink-uri/
