Can somebody please let me know how to show your categories as thumbnails – I am struggling to find a solution?

An example of what I need is here

We have a module in the works to configure your categories with custom images. It should be available before the end of the year.

However, the example you provided shows text and buttons, no images that I can see.

I was able to achieve this with:
a) Categories Images plugin.
b) Adding a function to echo a list of images with links to categories, see here
c) Calling the function using the PHP widget plugin

(I wanted to display them in the sidebar, but you could just as easily modify one of the existing business-directory page templates)
