The thumbnails seem to be working fine now: http://www.crimpdev.co.uk/zztemp/PHL/press/
The problem is usually that BFIThumb cannot crop the original images and create the thumbnails because of PHP imageGD not being installed or enabled.
Was that the problem for you as well?
I am not sure, is there any way to resolve this? a plugin or something.

I’m also having this same issue, GD support should be installed and enabled on my host. It still creates full-sized images instead of thumbnails. The only feedback I have at this point is an warning after enabling debugging mode:
WARNING: CALL_USER_FUNC_ARRAY() EXPECTS PARAMETER 1 TO BE A VALID CALLBACK, FUNCTION ‘BE_FOOTER’ NOT FOUND OR INVALID FUNCTION NAME IN /HOME/CONTENT/
