there seem to be 2 issues actually:
* ezoic is delaying the inline JS in spite of it having the data-cfasync=”false” attribute, which causes an “Uncaught ReferenceError”
* something is blocking access to the thumbnail (could be a security component/ plugin or nginx config or .., see https://www.thegardenstyle.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyteCache.php?origThumbUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2FZBO5YO_w8WQ%2Fhqdefault.jpg
Should I check with my hosting then? Ezoic I don’t think it changes anything.
you can ask your hosting to check nginx config in order to allow the thumbnail URL, but re. ezoic it most certainly causes a JS error which will stop the thumb from showing.
Good morning, ezoic told me that he already made a correction and the hosting too. Now at least you see something in gray and not black. What would it take to see a mini image?
Hosting said:
We have enabled direct PHP access frim the application settings that might be generating the 403 on the URL. You are requested to check again and let us know if its working now.
the video ID in the thumbnail link I pasted earlier is FZBO5YO_w8WQ, but when going to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZBO5YO_w8W YouTube claims the vid is not available any more?
right, my bad 🙂
can you try clearing LYTE’s cache (or manually remove all files in wp-content/cache/lyteCache/)?
Ready, cache emptied but surely you have to wait a while.
adding a random string to the thumbnail URL (which allows one to bypass host-based caching) seems to work;
https://www.thegardenstyle.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyteCache.php?origThumbUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2FZBO5YO_w8WQ%2Fhqdefault.jpg&mlkdj=dd
based on the HTTP response header this is due to the Ezoic cache, can you (ask them) to clear it?
I can also clear ezoic’s cache but it will take a few hours to see the change. I’ll do it now and then I’ll let you know. Thank you very much for the help you are giving me.
