Tiled gallery doesn't work after update!

    Hi,

    I was using wp v.3.6.0 and i guess slim jetpack v.2.4.1 and everything was workinking fine. I just updated slim jetpack to v.2.4.2 and now tiled gallery does’n work.

    The option to select a layout style for images is missing.
    Check box to display all gallery pictures in a cool mosaic in media settings is also missing.

    I’ve tryed:
    -Deleting the plugin and installing a fresh one.
    -Updating WP to v.3.6.1
    but still no luck.

    Any ideas about what could be the problem?

    actually it works but only with .jpeg images.
    Previous version was working with animated gifs too.

    Same problem for me. The default WordPress gallery is shown instead

    Could you update to v2.5 and try again? Let me know if it still has problem.

    Sorry, but after the update for me still not working.

    The checkbox “display all gallery pictures in a cool mosaic ” in media settings is gone and as well the setting for image gallery in WordPress’ “add files”-dialogue

    How about theme compatibility? Could you change the theme and try again?
    It seems ok with the default theme.

    Just tried with default theme “Twenty Thirteen”, but it doesn’t work either!

    Then you need to turn off other plugins one by one to find out the root cause. It works on my site. I cannot reproduce the problem.

    tryed:

    – Changing to defaul theme
    – Disabled all plugins
    – Updated the plugin to v2.5

    Result:

    – One of the plugins was the reason why the option to display all gallery pictures in a cool mosaic in media settings and the option to select a layout style for images were missing BUT still it works only with jpg images. Can’t get it to work with animated GIF.

    Any furder sugestions?

    I found out that for me its the plugin media categories (http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/media-categories-2), that causes the problem. There is already a topic in its support board but it does not seem to have a solution in it:

    As i can see, in their case, tiled gallery doesn’t work at all.
    In my case it’s working fine with jpg images, but does not with animated gif

    The version of the slim jetpack plugin before 2.4.1 was working fine with animated gif.
    Maybe i should try downgrade to one of the previous versions

    Think in my case that there is a conflict between the plugins media categories and jetpack/slim jetpack, because both are using and modifying the gallery shortcode. Maybe that is the problem?

    In my case the plugin that was messing up the code was “Lightbox Plus ColorBox”, which also modifyes the gallery code, but that only solved the missing options problem. Still no luck with tiled gallery with animated GIFs
