    Hello there,

I’m currently trying to figure out how to resolve an error in which the images in my gallery are butting up against each other, rather than remaining equally spaced. This error seems restricted to desktop viewing. The spacing is fine on the mobile version of my site.

Here is an image here, in Chrome: https://imgur.com/O39nX9x
Here is the same error in Firefox: https://imgur.com/NMAXJxH
And Edge is even more distorted: https://imgur.com/MzEng9c

The error is on all of my pages that have portfolio projects.

I appreciate any help you all can give me.

  • Hi there,

How long ago did this issue start happening? Did you happen to add any new plugins to your site around that time?

Loading issue affecting Masonry JS grid usually stem from either a image optimization or site optimization plugin, or caching plugins. This is especially true of any setting that offers to “lazy load” your images.

If you temporarily disable all plugins but Jetpack (need for galleries to function on your homepage) and when you do that are you still seeing the image margins missing on some images?

If not reactivate your plugins one at a time until the problem reappears. When it does, it is related to the last plugin you activated. Hope this helps!

    Thank you very much!

It turns out, it was the SiteGround Optimizer plugin that was automatically activated when I migrated my site. I only migrated it a few days ago, so I didn’t even think of plugins being the issue. I deactivated it, and now everything works like it’s supposed to.

Thank you again for your help, @jerrysarcastic!
