The plugin is probably useful for very small sites with only a few posts and links. For large sites it doesn’t seem to work, which may be the reason of its low popularity. You must create a settings/dashboard page in which the administrator of a site would be able to scan the database for urls, and select what to test, etc. Divide tasks, you cannot have them all undertaken at once on large sites.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The timeout for very large sites that you mention depends on the host server rather than our plugin. This can be increased in the php.ini file if needed. However, we are working on this along with many other new features/ improvements so stay tuned!

Let’s say we have a site with 3.000 posts, and each post includes at least one link to an external site. This means that the plugin has to check 3.000 links before it displays results in the browser. Even if it spends only 15 seconds for a link, it needs 12 hours to check everything. No increase in the PHP.ini would permit the execution of this job, and if it did, how many users would like to wait 12 hours before they get any response after the activation of the plugin? The wise thing would be to open a dashboard and give options, letting the user to get first a list with the links, and letting him choose what to test, or how many links to test at a time, etc.
