    Hi,

I had several cases now where a user attached a big file (for example around 25MB) and the server had a time out. This resulted in a state where no one could post anything any longer, as the server was always stuck on the mail with the big attachment.

What could I do to modifiy this behaviour? Or is there a way to reject those mails? For example setting a limit to attachment sizes and sending a reply to someone who has to big attachments on his emails as a notificiation?

    Thanks in advance Sascha

Postie doesn’t have any built in way to deal with this because it doesn’t know how big the email is until it finishes downloading it.
You can increase the php timeout. Depending on your email provider you may be able to set up rules to reject large emails.
