Timeouts on instagram API

    Hi all,

    I’m occasionally receiving delays from the Instagram API which exceed 5 seconds and apparently hit some timeout. It looks however as this request is being made for every page load. This surprises me as there is a setting “Check for new images every xx hours”.

    Can someone give some more background on this?
