• Hey there.

On the Meetup calendar and posts, the time for the events being imported is off by a few hours.

First I had the timezone set to UTC in General Settings, but I changed it to “New York” to see if that made a difference. (It didn’t work for WP Meetup but it worked for Event Espresso. [I had WP Meetup installed long before Event Espresso 3 and I still had the same problem]).

I tried deleting the group, the wp_meetup_event and wp_meetup_group databases, the plugin itself, and then reinstalled. Still not working.

Please help me get the correct time to display on the calendar and posts.

    Thanks!

    ~Matt

*Much praise for keeping this plugin updated and useful! You guys at NM do a great job with it, thank you so much!

Had more time to play with this.

Event Espresso is causing a 4 hour shift in the time zone, not sure why, as Event Espresso seems to be pulling the time from the time zone set in General Settings.

I’m in Boston Ma, and I have to set the time zone to Reykjavik to get the time to show up correctly. Would love a fix for this if you can.

    Thanks!

There’s also a conflict between wpMandrill and WP Meetup.

    Hey MattAdams,

First off, thank you for pointing out conflicts. We will look into these as soon as possible.

In reference to the timezone issue, we use the timezone settings from Meetup when we store events. We will double check that the error isn’t on our part but I would suggest double checking the timezone of your Meetup group’s events.

    Hey there,

It’s definitely not with the Meetup’s timezone, it’s a conflict between Event Espresso 3 that they can’t fix in 3, but that they have fixed in EE4 (which I won’t use yet because all of the functionality for 3 (i.e., the reason I bought that over other plugins) isn’t there yet)…

If there’s anything you can do to fix it, that would be awesome. I’m trying to launch my site soon and it would be great if that were fixed.

The other thing was the conflict with wpMandrill…

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hey MattAdams,

We will happily look into the issue and see how we are handling things to make sure it is correct. If you have a dev site that you would be willing to give us access to then that could be a huge help. Either way we can definitely look into it. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any other issues that you have.
