Timezone issue

When I add the widget to a footer and have it set to Today’s Upcoming Events, it appears that it is showing events using a different time zone. For example, at 11 pm EST, the current event is a program called Key Life but the widget is showing the program Truth for Life which comes on at 6 pm EST. Is there a time zone setting for the plugin somewhere? I don’t see one anywhere. It appears that it is trying to use Hawaiian Standard time.
