I’ve got a quick hypothetical about automated SMS and quiet-hour rules. If I have a birthday automation where the SMS is scheduled for 10 AM, but my quiet hours are set from 8 PM to 11 AM… what actually happens? Does the message get delayed, skipped, or pushed to the next available window?

    Hi @morenoma,

Great question, quiet-hour settings can definitely affect the timing of automated SMS messages, so it’s good to understand how they work together.

If silent hours are enabled during the time an SMS is scheduled to send, the message won’t be skipped. Instead, it will be postponed and automatically sent at 11 AM, which is the moment your quiet hours end.

This ensures that the message is still delivered, but always within the allowed sending window. If you’d like help reviewing your timing settings or adjusting your automations, we’re just a message away.
