Thank You Tomas for your prompt reply, I installed the new framework, but the logo menu disappeared from the customize admin page. So I was not able to add a logo to test it.

It might be that you have to specify logo again for the new theme, please check in the Appearance/Customize if you need to reassign it.
If you do not see the logo option in Customizer, you have to activate logo with a plugin – please install Jetpack plugin and it will work.
Also can you provide me with site address so I can inspect?

No Logo option in the customizer, I tried to install Jetpack plugin, but there are many plugins with this name, could you please specify more details about this plugin.Is it “Jetpack by WordPress.com 3.4.1” or “Genesis Jetpack Logo” ?
Regarding my site address, it is still not puplished, I’m now working on my local pc for testing purposes.
Please try this plugin and check if you have to re-assign the logo:
