Latest wordpress – Disable Guttenburg – Twenty Seventeen-child – Tiny MCE Advanced

With the above my admin content area is very narrow – about 360px.

If I disable Tiny MCE Advanced I get a regular full width content area.

I’ve added various full-width: 100%; to the css of both the main theme, child and tiny MCE to no avail – usually the Tiny MCE dash starts to flow down when I add the CSS.

Please note the actual menu bar of Tiny MCE is full width. The editiable content area is the issue. Again, with Tiny MCE disabled the content area returns to full-width.

How can I make the content area full-width with Tiny MCE Advanced?

Most likely this comes from your theme’s $content_width setting. Perhaps try resetting that too in the child theme’s functions.php file.
