Hi,

whenever we create a new custom tab, tinyMCE just show the initial buttons and it only show all the buttons -both initial and those added by addons- after saving the tab -or the product- and refreshing the edit page.

When creating a new custom tab, the plugin makes an AJAX request with hardcoded default values, thus ignoring any tinyMCE addons.

Could you update the code so it takes into account tinyMCE addons -thus loading them from the beginning?

Are you talking about the options passed to wp_editor as defined here? – https://github.com/yikesinc/yikes-inc-easy-custom-woocommerce-product-tabs/blob/0deccf931153f64977b72d6dd823150d6225dde6/admin/class.yikes-woo-tabs.php#L297

Would adding a filter for that options array be a potential solution?

I’m talking about the options passed to tinymce.init as seen in https://github.com/yikesinc/yikes-inc-easy-custom-woocommerce-product-tabs/blob/0deccf931153f64977b72d6dd823150d6225dde6/js/repeatable-custom-tabs-shared.js#L51.

I think they’re code for different use cases -as everything is fine when (re)loading after tab creation but not when it’s just created-.

As far as my understanding goes, it’s initializing TinyMCE with completely default values without checking if there are any active addon.

Assuming that’s right -which I’m not completely sure of-, adding a request to ask the server which TinyMCE addons are active -if any- should solve it.

We’re looking into this on our end. It’s going to require a bit of restructuring to accomplish. I’ll update you here when we have more information.
