    Hi,

I’m using TinyMCE Clear Float in my new web-site (starting 2017-12). The clearfloat works well – in principle.

After inserting this funktion in a page (page in visual mode) always related to pictures, a dashed line is displayed correctly. After saving this page this dashed line is no longer visible. Thus, it is no longer possible to see, where a clearfloat has been inserted.

Now switching to the frontend, clearfloat is working fine.

Now moving back to the admin-page and making any change on this page (not related to clearfloat) and saving again. Then going back to the frontend: shows no working clearfloat anymore.

This problem has already been adressed here and was marked as “solved”:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/clearfloats-are-no-longer-saved-over-more-than-one-edits/

I’m using WP 4.9.5; Hueman theme, TinyMCE Clear Flaot 1.2.2.; TinyMCE Advanced 4.6.7.

Actually clearfloat is working in the following article (related to the pictures) on this page:
    https://promorija.de/aktivitaeten-2018/#mv_2018

This behavior is a severe problem for me – is there any help?

    Thank’s in advance
    Werner

    Hi @wernerwporg,
thank you for detailed report. I’m afraid I can’t reproduce the issue. On a clean WordPress system with only TinyMCE Clear Float, TinyMCE Advanced and the Hueman theme active the clear element works fine.

What steps can we do to fix your problem? The ww.wp.xz.cn Forum Guidelines forbid to ask for access:

Do not ask for any kind of access in order to provide support, not even for plugins or themes.

But honestly, I don’t know of any other way to help. So if you want create a test user (role “Editor”) and mail the login credentials to . Also, having FTP access would be very useful in case I need to make changes to the plugin.

    Thanks.

    Hi Philipp,

thank’s for your very fast end excellent support!
Now it seems to me, that this problem might be caused by other plugins.

I have checked the difference in the code with working Clear Float and after automatic delete (but I don’t have any code-knowledge).
This is missing after editing and saving the page – as far as I can see:

    <br style=”clear: both;”></span>

But I think, that this will not help solving the Problem.

Ok, I try to find aut, how to create this, it is my first web-site …

    By the way:
Is there any other plugin available with this feature?

    Thanks – and best reagards

    Hi @wernerwporg,
sorry for the delay; I have been quite busy the last couple weeks.

Regarding your problem with disappearing clear elements: TinyMCE Clear Float v1.3.0 has just been released which should solve this issue. Please test the update and get back to me here.

    Thanks!

    Hi Philipp,

I’m sorry, but now I found major problems after updating to v1.3.0.

All (!) pages, that did not have a Clear Float befor (!) updating to V.1.3.0 show the following problem:

When trying to edit such a page, the “visual” mode is just without any content. But when switching to “text” mode, the code is available correctly.

There is no effect on the front end.

Pages, having Clear Float before are working fine in editing mode, also.

For testing, I add the following code to the faulty pages:
    <br style=”clear: both;”>
Now these pages work fine again.

Here seems to bee a great problem.
WP, Huemann and all other plugins have the final release.

I hope, you can solve that problem – good luck!

    Kind regards
    Werner

    Hi Philipp,

    thanks!

I didn’t downgrade but just updated to v1.3.1. from v1.3.0.

Then I just deleted the added code on the related faulty pages – now it works fine.
It was necessary to clear the browser-cache.

    Best regards
