Hi. I have a form set up but recently whenever I click “Update” it gives me the error “Something went wrong while saving your form. Please try again.” I couldn’t figure out why for the longest time and see others have a similar issue but never any answer as to why.

I isolated the problem in the custom CSS I was using in the “Enable custom CSS” box. I won’t accept comments in the code (e.g. /* some comment */) and spits out that error. Removed, it updates just fine.

    Hope that’s helpful to someone!

    Hi @dugost,

I checked this on a test install of the Forminator plugin but was unable to replicate the issue at my end.

Can you please share an export of the form that you noticed the issue with so that we can take a closer look? You can share the export using any cloud storage platform like Google Drive or DropBox. Please make sure to share a public URL.

Ok, I’ve posted the form export but this won’t have the comment in the CSS.

I believe the first version saved without any problems and included this:

    .forminator-description-password {font-size: 21px;} /* some comment */

Later when I had to go back and edit the form’s settings and got the error, I removed that comment from the CSS and it saved just fine.

    Hi @dugost

    Thank you for the form,

I tried to add some comments, refresh the page and resave multiple times and didn’t get any error.

Could you please try to re-check the issue but this time click on right button of mouse > inspect > network, save the form and when the “Something went wrong while saving your form.” returns you will see a status different than the 200

Click on preview and send a screenshot, so we can find if it is a fatal error or firewall.
