    Hey guys,

    My site’s inner page title tags are a little messed up…if you look at this page this is what is happening to all the inner pages of my site… http://gyazo.com/7389798c4cddd999f3a417d2b4b6b268

    I have NEVER seen this before. I also use SEO yoast on 2 of the other sites and it is doing the same thing on 2 of my other sites with the EXACT same template on all 4 sites. I only use 1 seo tool per site. either SEO U or Yaost not both on the same site. But one of them is perfect. The code is pulling this from the header.php….

    <title><?php wp_title(”); ?></title>

    All my titles look perfect on the site but when it shows up in Google it is adding things. Any one see this before. And please dont tell me that google changes things around, it would have done it on all of my sites. I got this site done last week by a new developer and i am sure i am just missing one thing I am ll out of thoughts though… here are the rest of my settings that i have always done with my sites..

    Well, for the Title Tag Rewriter the values should not be blank. But, you can always reset the title tag rewriter’s values and then remove the {blog}slug so your website’s general information won’t appear in the page title. Good thing we included a reset values field here.

    Also, aside from that, it very well be Google choosing how they display the title (even you said don’t tell you that). Just saying.

    Let me know if the above fix works, then please mark ticket as resolved.

    Thanks in advance.

    @stacked4life:

    Please update to SEO Ultimate version 7.6.3.1 and see if your title tag quandary (settings wise) is fixed. Once again, you can only suggest what you want to display for meta data in Google, inevitably, they decide on how it it rendered.

    Let us know and please mark this topic as resolved unless you can recreate.

    Thanks,

    Hey Thanks Jeffrey,

    It is at the newest version and everything is pretty much perfect. I know we are just missing something stupid or the guy who made our site screwed up. This has never happened with any of our sites or clients and been doing it this way for years. So I know it is not Google. Let me know if you have any ideas or can do a TV session or something. Odd that one of the exact same sites is not doing it but this is.

    Thanks

    Mark

    Hi,

    I’ve taken a look at your site and it’s source code. The plugin is not inserting the “SEO Company UK” at the end of your title. I know you said you didn’t want to hear this but it looks like google may have cached your title in SERP’s.

    Meaning it may have been set to do it this way in the past and google is still using the cached or old version.
