No idea what is going on here. Maybe another plug-in you only use here on this page? SimpleTOC is very… simple when it comes to its basic behavior.

Try to copy the article elements to a new post bit by bit and try to find what’s causing it
Its because of the content template I use on this post.
so if I want to use the plugin I shouldn’t use the content template?

Ask the developer of the template then 🙂
they said this:
“The plugin isn’t generating any IDs on the heading blocks.
So the links have nowhere to go.
Can you ask the plugin developer to take a look ? As it assume there code is expecting something that is not present in the way its added to your site.”
Since this works with most other templates, there is nothing to fix on the side of SimpleTOC.
