Yes I have noticed this. I am using the default browser on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
If I click the menu button, it changes to the x symbol but does not display the menu items. If I then change the phone from landscape to portrait (or portrait to landscape) then the menu items will appear automatically (without pressing the menu button again).
If I press the X to shrink the menu, nothing happens. When I switch the phone from landscape to portrait (or vice versa) then the menu will disappear.
You may have the same behaviour with your setup.
I’ve not yet been able to find a solution.

Hi Tom, yes it works fine on the S5, and the Nexus 5 & 6, but not on older versions of either phone. I’m also using Browserstack, but haven’t tried all of the other Android variations yet. I’ll have a look in to the usage stats for those browsers and see how serious a problem it’s likely to present.

Thanks for the reports. Please try updating to 1.7.1, it should be fixed.
It seems old versions of android don’t like the CSS2 ~ sibling selector (so I’ve changed it to use the + adjacent sibling selector), nor mixing bracket and dot notation in JavaScript (even though JS Lint says its ok!) – both should be fixed and working now.
