Too Bad It Doesn’t Work As Expected
-
This seemed to be exactly what I needed; however, on WordPress 6.0.1 using the Classic editor, it doesn’t restrict access. There is no meta box on the page to set the restrictions as shown in the instructions. The shortcode option also doesn’t work, nor does the screen that looks like it should be a master restriction page.
I came across the plugin through a YouTube video demonstrating how it works that was published just 5 days before I tried the plugin myself. The person was using Gutenberg, so if that is how your site is set up, it might be an option for you. It’s not for my site.

So an update to this review. I tested the plugin out with another site using a different theme. It looks like the problem I’m having has to do with how the theme, Extra from Elegant Themes, integrates with the Gutenberg editor. The alternate options (short code and overview page) do not work on the Extra site. I can restrict sections if I use Gutenberg.
