Hey @dealer58, that’s because you have front-end logging enabled on your site. The function to show these is merely to troubleshoot if things go wrong.

You can disable it at WooCommerce > Status > WooCommerce Services:

Ok I see got it

I switched it on because I’m getting errors in the log and I thought it would help me figure out what it was but that didn’t help

This is what I’m getting in the log right now:

<Number>80040B18</Number>

An error has occurred with the service. Please contact the system administrator, or try again.

USPSCom::DoAuth
</Error> (calculate_shipping)
05-23-2018 @ 20:37:05 – Error: Unexpected USPS Response:
<Error>
<Number>80040B18</Number>

An error has occurred with the service. Please contact the system administrator, or try again.

USPSCom::DoAuth
</Error> (calculate_shipping)

When I went back to settings it was showing an error only under “rest of the world zones”

Now I have the whole world with errors!:

USPSUnited States (US) Shipping Zone
The most recent rate request failed
Request was made 2 hours ago – check logs below or edit service settings
USPSRest of the World Shipping Zone
The most recent rate request failed
Request was made 5 days ago – check logs below or edit service settings

but I believe I have all the fields filled in correctly.

Then I need to understand why the cart is returning Flat Rate with no fees (zero cost)

Lastly how do I give a product Free Shipping without a coupon,

Hello @dealer58,

USPS is currently experiencing an outage that’s affecting our services. I do apologize for this. You can monitor the status of the USPS API outage here: https://www.shippingapimonitor.com/

In the mean time, setting a fallback rate will allow customers to check out during the outage. You can read more about setting up the fallback rate here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-4

Then I need to understand why the cart is returning Flat Rate with no fees (zero cost)

You might have a “Flat Rate” shipping method in your Shipping Zone that is set to a flat rate of $0.

Lastly how do I give a product Free Shipping without a coupon,

Check out this great blog post by Metorik for a few different ways to offer free shipping per-product: https://metorik.com/blog/apply-free-shipping-to-certain-products-in-woocommerce

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
