Too Many Saved Drafts?

Hi, guys, maybe someone can help me out on this. When I’m composing new posts, WP intermittently saves them as drafts in case something happens; the problem is, it seems to be saving them as DIFFERENT DRAFTS, and is doing it way too often.

For instance, I’ll be writing a post, and even before I have published it, WP will have already saved one, two, sometimes three copies of the same thing in my “draft” folder, so that by the time I publish that particular post, I now have three drafts of the same post that I have to now delete, because they don’t disappear, they just stay there, even if nothing has happened and the post was published successfully.

It’s really getting pretty annoying, and I don’t know what’s happening. Why does it keep saving the drafts as different versions of the same post with every automatic save?

Anyone know what I’m talking about, and how to fix this? Thanks.
