Too Many Subscribe Attempts?

    The plug-in works fine for me. However, I have two lists which need two different subscription forms. When I try to subscribe using the embedded html form, I get the following error: “Too many subscribe attempts for this email address. Please try again in about 5 minutes. (#8843)”. It doesn’t matter what email address is entered, the error still persists.

    Thanks for dropping by the forum. I definitely understand the concern over that unexpected error message.

    That said, these forums would be dedicated to troubleshooting the use of our plugin, rather than the embedded form. As a result, we’d recommend reaching out to MailChimp support, directly. This article from MailChimp’s Knowledge Base may also help with troubleshooting that embed code:

    Hey npv1022,

    I thought it might help to add that you’ll also want to avoid using your browser’s autofill function when trying to subscribe. While those can be helpful in a variety of situations, they can also be problematic with some embedded forms.
