I am trying to hide any toolbar appearance in my posted PDFs. When I add the pdf to the page I simply click Add Media, select the PDF, and click Insert into Page. PDF Embedder inserts the url and title like:

    [pdf-embedder url=”https://sitename/wp-content/nameofpdf.pdf” title=”nameofpdf“]

I am trying to add toolbar = none to end to look like:

    [pdf-embedder url=”https://sitename/wp-content/nameofpdf.pdf” title=”nameofpdf” toolbar = “none”]

The result is the toolbar appearing at the top of the pdf. I cannot get it to where there is no toolbar at all, which is what I want.

    Hello there,

That’s strange. Thanks for reporting the issue!

Have you tried saving the plugin options in the plugin admin area?

Also, what happens when you use a “PDF Embedder” block to embed the PDF file in the Block Editor? There is a toolbar section in block options as well.

Thanks for getting back. In the admin area, I have selected No Toolbar and saved settings.

I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the block editor. I looked it up but it appears to be for a “post”? I am working in a Page. I don’t see the block editor.

We use Elementor for most of our pages. For this page however, I just created a standard blank page, not in Elementor.

I click the Add Media button, select my PDF, the shortcode is inserted with the title at the end. I add in toolbar = “none”.

I think I fixed this issue with the toolbar in v4.9.1 that I’ve just released.

Please take a look, and if something isn’t working, please create a new thread.

    Thank you!
