Tool/script to check permissions

Hi,

I’ve asked my host about this but they’ve drawn a blank.

Anyone know of a tool/script which can go through and check the permissions (chmod numbers) of all the files/folders on my site?

I work in the wintel/citrix arena and its dead easy to come up with a script to do this on a wintel platform. Bit surprised my host said it couldn’t be done on a linux platform – were they telling porkys?
