am I understanding you correctly if I summarize:
– you would like a list of the terms/names, not the descriptions.
– you would like the description to pop up in a tooltip when you hover over it

First point, the full-featured name directory (search form, index links, descriptions and submit button) is great.
Second point: When a term is found in other posts/pages (maybe with an option to only choose the first recurrence), I would like the term to be underlined, then when a visitor hovers this term, a tooltip with the description appears.

I’m sorry I didn’t answer the post yet. I am exploring options to implement this. I’m not quite sure if I can (and would like to) scan the whole websites content to identify entries of this plugin and show a tooltip.
The plugin was never meant to be used in such kind of way. So maybe I’m not going to implement it. I’m exploring your idea further in the next month. I’ll let you know what I decide in this topic.

I worked on this feature for a while, trying to implement this. Until now there was no good successful option to do this.
Last weeek I got another another idea on how to include this via AJAX. At this time I’m moving and doing home-improvement, so my progress on the plugin is slow. Still, this topic will stay open, it’s a nice feature.. 🙂
