toopher activation

Hi, thanks for your interest in Toopher! Toopher for WordPress operates on an Opt-In model – users who have not paired their mobile device with their account will not be subject to multi-factor authentication. So, although we do not explicitly support the role-based authentication you’re talking about, I think in practice you can achieve the same thing as long as only your admins enroll their devices with Toopher. Other users will not be prompted to enroll, but they are still able to enroll on their own from their WordPress profile page.

Enabling toopher based on user role is a good idea, though – we’ll add it to a future plugin release!
