I am trying to figure out how I can have the top 10 show in a custom post type so that I could include them into a newsletter automatically. Is there any instructions somewhere as to how one mite do this.

I’m not sure how easy it is to get this done. You could potentially combine this tutorial ( http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-custom-rss-feeds-in-wordpress/ ) with the API ( https://gist.github.com/ajaydsouza/c8defd4b46e53240e376 )
