Top level categories only

    You could customize the results by editing the search results template, but it would require some PHP and WordPress knowledge to do.

    The results aren’t the problem, its the actual search bar. Its when you do the drop down for categories. Ideally I only want to display the top level categories in the category drop down.

    Oh I see, off the top of my head, no I don’t think this is possible without some significant modifications to the plugin.
