topbar background img served http

    I would like to use a small repeating background image in my topbar.
    I’m in Appearance>Theme Options>Advanced Styling>Topbar Background
    I can upload my image without any problem. Looks fine and everything. The issue is the url it uses is http not https. This is causing a mixed security warning and there does not seem to be any way change it to https.
    I’ve set apache to force https on all urls, I’ve even tried a plugin that is supposed to force https on all static resources too.
    When I try to view the image alone in a browser using http it redirects me to https correctly. It’s the theme that is calling the http url of the image that is throwing the error.

    Hey,
    Is you admin loaded through https? Because when you choose the image you are setting a string. The http or https is set based on the current state so if your admin is https then all the image strings will be https.

    If you set up the images then added https you will need to re select the image.

    The whole site is https including the admin area. No matter how I upload an image, the theme always pulls it in as http.

    Hey,
    The theme should be pulling based on the url that was used when you uploaded inside the theme options.

    It’s odd. I’ve just been testing this to confirm. When you are in the admin and you go to the apperance > theme options > advanced styling. Do you see the text box with the link to your image. Is it showing there as http?

    One quick workaround would be to add css for the background instead of using the theme options. If you can post a link I can send that for you.
