bbpnns does not have the option to notify only the topic author when a reply is set – not unless you turn on Override Core Subscriptions and the topic author subscribes to his topic.
even everyone check mark that : Notify me of follow-up replies via email , they don;t getting email.
Make sure Override Core Subscriptions is turned on for Replies as well.

This screenshot has all the settings. You’ll see that one section is for Topics, and another for replies.

Thanks but it not working for me. if i do that the post owner not notify and the as well reply notify, do u want to check my setting, i can send u my wp- admin info.
i just setup like that screenshot and now no one getting email. just notification not working,

Good morning. No, I didn’t get any emails from you. Nor did I get the Forgotten Password email. That’s probably why you’re not getting notifications – your emails don’t seem to be working at all.
Good Morning.. i think email is working because if check mark “administrator” in Topic reply roles “Select one or more roles from below…”
Still, I didn’t get any emails. Please make sure you have the right address, replacing [at] for @ and [dot] for . in my reply above, and the spelling which is kinda annoying as I always have to spell it out verbally. Bad choice of domain name, but it’s too late now :).

For the record, the user didn’t have any subscribers and was only relying on Core Subscription Overrides, hence no notifications.
